HOW TO APPLYAdmission requirements
The University of Craiova's policy is open to international students and there is no social, ethic or religions discrimination. The admission requirements are harmonized nationally, the sine qua non condition being the high-school graduation diploma There are no restrictions, such as age limits, high score in general or in certain areas, no general aptitude tests or limitation of the places available. Still, for admission at studies in the field of arts and sports, you may be able to pass some basic skills tests.
Language of instructionFor most of the study programs, the courses are taught in Romanian; therefore foreign students should have a good command of Romanian. The courses designed for the students in philology are delivered in the language(s) of their major/minor specialization, i.e. English, French, Italian, Spanish, German and Russian. The University also organises language courses during a preparatory academic year, when, along with language learning the basic knowledge in the fields that will make up the premise of your future training are refreshed. These courses finish with a certificate of proficiency in Romanian. At the University of Craiova there are two "filières francophones", in the engineering field - Faculté de Électrotechnique - "Génie Électrique", Faculté de Ingénieurs Électromécaniciens - Génie Électromecanique - where all the courses are taught in French. |
