ABSTRACT

The anatomical structure, of the vine leaf in cross section, is the bifacial type. The superior epidermis is single-layer and present on the exterior a thick cuticula. The palisadic parenchyma is made from 1-2 cells layer without spaces between them, the cells are elongated and perpendiculary disposed on the cells of the superior epidermis. The anatomical modification of the vine leaves attacked by Eriophyes vitis Page. consist in increasing the cells volume of the inferior epidermis as well the ones of the palisadic parenchyma. The leaf keep the bifacial structure, and in an advanced stage of the attack, it can observe that the inferior epidermis doesn’t exist, being replace by the filaments formed by the acarian.
