ABSTRACT
In the 05.April 2007, we had analyzed the trophic spectrum of a total number of 38 common newts (20 males and 18 females). All individuals had stomach contents, a fact that proves favorable feeding environmental conditions for the studied Triturus vulgaris population. Crustaceea Cladocera was predominant by frequency of occurrence and by percentage abundance in the analyzed stomach contents (both the males and the females). We did not found differences in the feeding of the males and females from the studied Triturus vulgaris population.
