RESEARCH REGARDING SOME PHYSIOLOGICAL MODIFICATIONS PRODUCED BY THE ALTERNARIA SOLANI SORAUER
IN HOT HOUSE TOMATO PLANTS

The research regarding several physiological modifications produced by Alternaria solani Sorauer was made in tomato plants cultivated in conditions of unwarmed hot house.
In connection with the climatic conditions, as a result of the action fungus on the contaminated tomato plants one can also observe the rise of respiration as a result of the intensification of the activity of the respiratory enzymes. One can observe the diminution of the total water content and of the chlorophyll content. The content in mineral substances varies as a result of the modifications of the processes of metabolism. The diurnal dynamics of the photosynthesis and of transpiration follows a unimodal curve which presents a minimum in the morning, a maximum after lunch and a minimum toward the evening, with specific variations in the plants attacked.
