ANATOMICAL FEATURES OF THE ONAMENTAL PLANT
TRADESCANTIA PALLIDA (ROSE) D. HUNT (COMMELINACEAE)

The article comprises anatomical investigation of the adventitious root, pendant stem and sessile leaf of a horticultural perennial species Tradescantia pallida (Rose) D. Hunt. The root of Tradescantia pallida possesses a primary structure of monocts and dicots types. The stem has a primary structure with an atactostele central cylinder. The leaf mesophyll is homogenous. The upper and lower epidermis possesses stomata and protective hairs. In the stem and leaf, the vascular system is represented by poorly developed close and collateral vascular bundles. The mechanical tissue is absent in the root, stem and leaf. The anatomical features of the plant organs are in accordance with it pendant condition.
