ABSTRACT

The research was made at the tomatoes plants cultivated in conditions of unwarmed hot house and at the tomatoes plants cultivated in the field.

In connection with the climatic conditions, as a result of the action of the Septoria lycopersici Speg. fungus on the contaminated tomatoes plants one can observe the diminution of the photosynthesis, of the total water content and of the chlorophyll content. One can also observe the rise of the transpiration and respiration. The content in mineral substances varies as a result of the modifications of the processes of metabolism. The diurnal dynamics of the photosynthesis and of transpiration follows a unimodal curve which presents a minimum in the morning, a maximum after lunch and a minimum toward the evening, with specific variations at the plants attacked.
