Abstract
The study main objective consisted in collection and evaluation of the variability of some hot pepper local land races. The collecting expedition was performed in three counties: Arad, Timis and Bihor. We have submitted to studies several yield component characters which showed great importance for plant breeding program. From the performed studies, we have observed a large variability of the analyzed characters (fruit weight, fruit size and number of fruits per plant). Simian BH and Buteni AR land races registered a higher number of fruits per plant while Julita TM, Belint TM and Padureni longer fruits.
